About the Attorney

Lois Iannone was admitted to practice law in 1987 and graduated from Providence College, summa cum laude, in 1983 and from New England School of Law, cum laude, in 1987. At her law school, she was honored as a New England Scholar for two consecutive years and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Family Law. Later, Ms. Iannone was admitted to the United States Supreme Court and First District Federal Court.

She took employment with the Rhode Island Department of Human Services, as Legal Counsel to Rhode Island Child Support Enforcement for nine years. Here, Ms. Iannone handled child support cases, took part in paternity matters, and argued before the Rhode Island Supreme Court for the State of Rhode Island on several occasions.

Her Practice

Ms. Iannone has been practicing in the Family Court since 1990 and focused her practice in the areas of divorce, parental rights, custody, child support, and visitation, as well as contested and uncontested divorces. She is an attorney that has been certified by the Rhode Island Family Court as a Guardian ad Litem to represent the children's best interest in divorce/custody cases. Additionally, she's certified as a Mediator for Child Access, as well as a Mediator for divorce.
